SHW Screw Valve
Screw valve for feeding of bulk material into a pressurized or high temperature system such as incinerators, dryers and gasification plants.
Component
Feeding Component
Applications
Screw valves serve for closing, metering and blowing-in units for circulating fluidized bed combustion, gasification plants and grate firings with pneumatically transported bulk materials like waste wood, flakes, secondary fuels such as BRAM, fluff or plastic chips, for paper sludge, municipal and industry sludge, coal, coal flotation and lagoon sludge as well as other compressible and pneumatically transportable bulk materials.
Technical Data
The screw valve consists of:
- Screw case
- Screw shaft
- Bearing unit
- Drive unit
- Connections for the supply of compressed air as well as fluidization
Design Characteristics
The bulk material will be transferred to the plug screw from selected process silos with a metered discharge which transports the bulk material to the feeding point of the combustion plant. Material is compacting continuously inside the screw spiral.
The screw valve transports the bulk material to the feeding point of the combustion plant.
First the bulk material will be compacted inside the screw spiral and loosened at the end, so that the air flow streaming through the screw tube can blow the bulk material into the process.
The used transport air can be concentrated with a high caloric fuel before inlet in the screw valve.
The screw valve is closing, metering and a blowing in-system at the same time.
