Sliding Frame

SHW Sliding Frame

Sliding frame can be used for the reception area of bulk materials delivered externally in your plant. Bulk material can be brought in the further storage or transport process.

The equipment can also be used for the discharge of bulk materials from different types of silos.

Ideal discharge unit for dry to wet difficult to handle bulk materials. The sliding frame can be split into two frames, operated shifted. Both designs are hydraulically driven.

Design Characteristics

  • Solid and robust frame design
  • For large diameter silos using the split frame

The sliding frame is moved horizontally forward and back by one or more hydraulic cylinders arranged on the outside of the silo.

At the same time the bulk material will be transported to the discharge screw arranged below the silo bottom. A discharge screw gives an exact metering out of the material. By arranging more than one discharge screw in the silo, multiple applications can be supplied with a metered feed from a single silo.

By keeping the hydraulic cylinder and piston rod extension totally separate, prolongs the working life of the hydraulic cylinders, as they do not come into contact with the bulk material.

A stuffing box separates the piston rod extension from the silo wall.

Discharge Capacity

10 - 250 m3/h per discharge screw

Advantages

  • Easy to maintain
  • Up to four different discharge screws combined in one silo
  • High operational safety
  • Good emptying characteristics
  • Sliding framae moves over the whole silo base
