SHW Rotary Valve
Rotary valve for feeding of bulk material into a pressurized or high temperature system such as incinerators, dryers and gasification plants.
Component
Feeding Component
Applications
Metering and closing units before pneumatic transport of wood flakes, dust, granulates, BRAM, fluff, plastic chips etc.
Technical Data
The rotary valve consists of:
- Housing
- Rotor
- Bearing
- Drive
- Broaching device
- Connections of the transport lines
Design Characteristics
The bulk material will be transferred to the rotary valve from selected process silos with a metered discharge which transports the bulk material to the feeding point of the combustion.
The rotary valve transports the bulk material in single chambers, which form a rotor, pivoted by 180 degree to the outlet chute, which is connected with the feeding point of the combustion plant.
When rotating, the chamber passes a fix cutter, which strips or cuts off the bulk material which juts out of the chamber edge of the cell rotor.
Special constructions are broaching valves and blow-through valves. Broaching valves are equipped with mechanical devices, which compulsory empty the chambers. The emptying of the blow-through valve is supported by transport air which blows the bulk material tangentially out of the chamber to be emptied and afterwards feeds it to the following process.
